Expanded Perlite Powder – Grade – SF II
Expanded perlite is a white, ultra-lightweight aggregate ranging from a very fine powder to an aggregate with a particle size up to 6mm in size. it is inorganic, inert, neutral in ph, biologically stable and has no asbestos content. Expanded perlite powder with vacuum super insulation is used at cryogenic temperatures, adapted to applications at high temperature, such as the long-term storage of hot water in solar thermal systems. The heat transport in evacuated perlite also used common models and approaches for gas heat conduction, solid- body conduction and heat transfer by thermal radiation.

Perlite has a very outstanding insulating characteristics and light weight, it is widely used as a loose-fill insulation in masonry construction. In this application, free-flowing perlite loose-fill masonry insulation is poure Masonry Tools Perlite into the cavities of concrete block where it completely fills all cores, crevices and ear holes. In addition to providing thermal insulation, perlite enhances fire ratings, reduces noise transmission and it is rot, vermin and termite resistant. Perlite is also ideal for insulating low temperature and cryogenic vessels.
When perlite is used as an aggregate in concrete, a lightweight, fire resistant, insulating concrete is produced that is ideal for roof decks and other applications. Perlite can also be used as an aggregate in Portland cement and gypsum plasters for exterior applications and. for the fire protection of beams and columns.
Other construction applications include under-floor insulation, chimney linings, paint texturing, gypsum boards, ceiling tiles and roof insulation boards.
Horticultural Application
Perlite is used throughout the world as a component of soil-less growing mixes where it provides aeration and optimum moisture retention for superior plant growth. For rooting cuttings, 100% perlite is used.
Agriculture Application
Perlite helps plants thrive and improves soil structure, keeping it workable for years. This inorganic mineral will produce healthier plants that require less labor and watering. Perlite is not a type of soil, it is a soil additive that can also be used as a growing medium.
Home Gardening
Perlite is used to improve soil structure by providing drainage and aeration. “Air for the soil”, and it is the next best thing to compost for circulating air between the roots for strong, healthy plant growth.
